Hey guys, this seems like the right place to put this because it's exclusive to TMN and one other website.

There are very few places and people I trust to share my material and thoughts with. With that said this place is one of them. You guys are great people and great magicians/mentalists.

For helping me advance the art I love, I'd like to help you guys out too. I've put together a lecture of (as far as I know) original material or original improvements on existing ideas.

This is a "What you think it's worth" lecture. There's a pretty dead period right now in magic where not a whole ton of things are being released. Even then you pay for a book or DVD and find that you're lucky to use a single thing off of it. This is where I'm trying to help you. At the end of the lecture if you feel like you got nothing out of the lecture that you would use, I'm not going to force you to pay anything. These are mainly sleights and tools, only a couple full routines with patter will be explained.
However, if you are going to use something I would hope that you help me continue to perform/create magic by sending me what you think the lecture/effect/sleight/advice was worth. That's all I ask.

This is a pretty last minute thing. I'm thinking of releasing an Ebook on these thoughts, but that won't be for some time. The day of the week usually isn't a busy day for anybody so I will hope you'll log on and watch what I've been working on for the last few years.

Here are the details

Where? tinychat.com/afields
When? Sunday 6/12/11 @ 8pm PST start time - join a couple mins before
How? Just log on, no password needed. I ask that everyone that joins change their name to what they are named on the forums so I can recognize this isn't being posted to other forums
Why? I've been using the same basic working material everyone else uses, but I have variations and thoughts on things that I use that maybe other people can benefit from.

as a disclaimer: This is all CARD work, no coins or mentalism. Just cards. I'm not ready to release anything else quite yet;)

This is all what I consider to be original material in one way or another - Either original script that makes an existing effect far more workable or variations to a sleight that make it far cleaner/more practical. This is a very informal lecture, feel free to ask questions about anything at any time.

Thanks,
Austin

Hey guys, now that I know how to do this a little better, here's the second video.

I try to do these theory blogs weekly but with school coming to its final weeks it's becoming more and more difficult.

Any topic suggestions are always welcome too :)  I was also able to embed and resize the first video, making it a bit more watchable.  Please take the time to watch these, I promise you won't think it's a big waste of time by the end of it.
